She fiddled with the necklace around her neck, thinking. If she was going to have a child now, there was only one god she desired to have it with. “Loki.” She said the name softly, with as much love as a chaotic being can hold for another, which is to say, a lot more than any mortal can fathom….

He heard her calling him and although it was in his nature to not come when called, for her he made an exception. Loki wasn’t one to dabble in love, but Eris was different, more like him than anyone he had met. Her power was rooted more in destruction and chaos and his in tricks and mischief, but he felt she truly understood his nature unlike many other gods, more specifically his father.

Loki appeared before her. “You called, my love?” He said leaning in to kiss her cheek. He got a sense of a serious matter and an expression of curiosity and concern grew upon his face. “What’s on your mind?”

“I did.”  She smiled, taking his hands.  He was everything she could have wanted and more in a God. Oh, the others were fun to sleep with on occasion, or cause chaos in their frivolous lives, but Loki was different.  Together they had something not many had, because they understood and appreciated each other.

She smiled more.  “Walk with me, my love.”  Her hand sought his, twining with it and leading him through her gardens that were a proper mix of a chaotic mix and traps of the mischievous nature that they could enjoy together.  “I have been considering something for a while… and I want you to understand that you don’t need to answer right away, or at all if you do not wish to.”  She paused, swallowing as the burning trees turned to sharp, rocky landscape.

“I… wish to have a child… with you.”

As was his nature, Loki made his eyes bulge out in a cartoony fashion. He returned to his usually appearance rather quickly. “You… wish to have kids… with me? I would love to be the father of your children. It would bring me much joy.”

“I say child, you say plural…”  Her lips curved just the way he loved best because it meant she was not only happy, but very much so.  It was rare to see her smile like that, but not as rare for him as the other Gods.  “And… would it really?”  Her eyes sparkled as they met his.  “Truly?”

He smiled. “But of course. I can no other I would like to share that joy with than you.” He loved to see her smile, even more so when her eyes light up. He held her in his arms. “I truly do want to have a child with you, my love.”

She smiled more, arms wrapping around him.  “Well, in that case… we’ll work on that… and see where it goes.”  She smirked a little, kissing him lovingly.  “A child or children from you will both be welcome.”
